□ Image And Hunting Ground

My  earliest  interest  lies  in  the  image  of  reflection,  it  could  be  very  visual,  because  it  has  shiny  texture  and  is  the  reflection  image  of  the  object,  I  imagine  this  kind  of  physical  texture  as  the  symbol  which  is  very  calm  and  fragile,  so  when  at  the  very  beginning  when  I  started  to  do  these  works,  the  reason  was  based  on  a  very  simple  and  direct  level,  although  each  work  still  contained  different  ideas,  and  in  the  works  how  waiting  and  choices  were  described,  and  how  to  relate  to  certain  situation  the  description  of  imagination  behavior  of  the  relationship  between  individual  and  the  two,  but  I  realized  that  in  fact,  I  was  attracted  by  another  thing  –  the  image  of  reflection,  perhaps  mostly  because  of  its  spatial  attribute,  or  the  attribute  of  unknown  space.  If  the  mirror  is  presented  as  a  kind  of  reflection,  I  think  it  is  a  kind  of  replication  of  space  or  image,  however  the  reflection  on  metal,  it’s  like  information  coming  from  another  space,  like  a  data,  which  has  infinite  sense  of  distance  in  my  imagination.

Perhaps  this  sense  of  reality  in  the  unpredictability  and  sense  of  distance  makes  me  have  more  interest  and  ideas,  to  start  a  series  of  work,  at  first  I  had  tried  to  make  some  simple  models,  and  then  recorded  the  finished  products  with  paintings,  in  my  later  works  I  usually  take  people  as  the  subject,  also  there  are  some  objective  object  as  the  subject,  the  texture  of  reflection  image  as  the  the  image  carrier  for  the  second  nature  of  the  image,  to  describe  imagination  behaviors  for  some  certain  relationship,  these  behaviors  are  most  likely  containing  performing  or  show  a  direction  which  is  possible  to  be  realized.  This  behavior  is  again  reflected  in  the  image,  as  if  is  a  kind  of  tension  and  scene  emphasized  again,  and  a  moment  that  may  change  at  any  time  will  break  the  rigorous  performance.

Later  in  the  image  of  reflection,  I  constantly  came  into  contact  with  the  term  reflection,  which  is  the  very  opposite  side  of  watching,  in  a  certain  extent,  especially  with  people  as  the  subject,  although  reflection  as  a  kind  of  objective  existence,  it  only  relies  on  the  relationship  between  the  images  so  that  it  can  be  presented,  and  when  people  is  the  main  body,  people’s  visual  watching  makes  this  relationship  being  confirmed  and  perceived,  so  the  image  of  reflection  allows  us  to  see  ourselves,  confirm  the  image  of  our  own,  otherwise  we  are  unable  to  complete  this  behavior,  because  the  eyes  can  only  see  immediate  objective  things  and  image,  we  cannot  see  ourselves  directly,  we  can  only  see  ourselves  indirectly  through  mirrors,  cameras,  materials  which  have  reflecting  property,  through  reflection  and  the  image  of  reflection,  indirect  means  incomplete  sense  of  reality,  that  is  also  the  gambling  and  chess  between  activeness  and  passiveness.  Here  I  think  of  a  metaphor  mentioned  by  Lacan  about  Mobius  Strip  structure,   "The  subject  is  passed  by  the  object  over  itself  but  the  subject  and  object  is  non-intersect  so  it’s  self-certified "  Thus  Zizek  called  it   "a  real  entity  engraved  on  both  sides  of  the  Mobius  Strip.  In  this  structure,  the  subject  and  object  will  never   "meet ",  they  are  both  in  the  same  place,  but  on  the  opposite  sides  of  the  Mobius  Strip.   "  I  think  I  don 't  have  the  ability  to  expand  this  metaphor,  but  what  appeals  to  me  is  the  confirmation  and  perception  of  the  relationship  between  the  direct  and  the  indirect,  and  the  realness  of  the  subject  and  object’s   "meeting ",  I  consider  this  behavior  as  a   "hunting  ground ",  which  is  not  the  original  meaning  of  animal  hunting  field,  but  the  generalized  the  information  hunting  of  the  object  by  the  subject,  when  we  watch  the  objective  things,  we  make  identification  and  judgment  on  the  surrounding  information  by  our  brains  and  eyes,  this  is  direct  from  the  angle  of  the  subject,  the  information  in  common  sense  became  our   "prey "  ,  the  image  of  reflection  makes  the  information  being  confirmed  repeatedly,  and  the  difficulty  is  that  we  can  indirectly  watch  ourselves  on  auxiliary  equipment  to  see  themselves,  they  both  exist  at  the  same  time,  which  means  ourselves  become  the   "hunters "  as  well  as  passively  become  our  own   "prey ",  in  this  imagination,  I  consider  myself  as  prey  which  is  the  most  difficult  for  the  subject  to  understand  and  capture,  and  in  the  meantime,  it  is  also  the  unrealistic  object  of  desire,  and  it’s  like  a  light  which  never  goes  out  attracting  the  subject  in  the  opposite  side  of  the  image,  meanwhile  it’s  also  like  the  nothingness  and  void  that  never  could  be  reached.
