Time is really a wonderful thing, it takes away so much, but never left you nothing. Like what’s condensed in these pictures, there are stories left behind, and also the longings for what’s yet to come.
Painting is not a royal road as in our imagination, not to mention how great and magical painting is in the eyes of others. For me, painting is an experience of constant mining through silence and struggle, overthrow and repeat, until I find the new me with more energy, and this feeling is like unexpectedly meeting an old friend that haven’t seen for a long while. This bittersweets, is more like an ascetic practice, requiring an attitude to hold my ground.
Along the way, I seemingly didn’t do much planning, just continued to find problems and constantly improve them. The process of creation is not only the perfection of image, it’s more like a journey of self-growth. This journey appeals to me and fascinates me, it may be strong, or ordinary, however, it’s right in the journey I met each and every one of you, who brighten up my life with your indispensable colors. The pace in the way might be slow, but I’m willing to hold flowers, waiting for the future worth expecting.
The story about the little girl continues, she is telling her own story in her little world. Small happiness, and those pains of growth, passing through the time tunnel, remains on the canvas.
Never Too Far, is like a movie’s open ending, which need your imagination, to open a door for the story, leading to the next exit. In real life, what kind of outcome is satisfactory? What is there where is not too far, and what are we expecting deep down? In my thoughts, to do our favorite thing, is happy, and lucky. I wish I can express myself quietly, try to keep the perfect world in my heart. Perhaps, the better view, is never too far.
