Although abstract paintings are an expression of an individual’s internal aspect, it would be more accurate to say that in addition to Qu Fengguo’s internal sense of “vividness and vitality”, it was his access to an unfettered spiritual environment which allowed him to tap into the energy of the cosmos and create paintings that manifest such individuality.
