The flood scene in “The Foul Past Times” is my interpretation of real life-most of it are wandering, struggling and not wanting to be subservient. Life is a war itself, Mr. Zhang Zhonghang said “life needs resistances……” No matter you are going with or going against what life gives you, there are always chances and uncertainties. In fact, before you arrive, it’s completely silent; looking at the misty wave, boundless sky, passing objects, listening to your own heartbeat, realize your existence, and the inseparable relationship between you and the environment.
